Giro della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia 2022: dall’1 al 4 settembre, quattro tappe con la scalata allo Zoncolan – #GiroFvg2022: 4 stages and the Zoncolan to climb
CERESETTO DI MARTIGNACCO (UD) – Da giovedì 1 a domenica 4 settembre 2022, torna l’appuntamento con il 58° Giro della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, importante manifestazione ciclistica internazionale, che richiamerà i migliori talenti del ciclismo mondiale della categoria Elite e Under 23 (foto Bolgan).
L’Asd Libertas Ceresetto è al lavoro già da tempo per offrire un’altra appassionante edizione della corsa che un anno fa a Pordenone incoronò il talento del tedesco Jonas Rapp. Il Giro della Regione FVG rappresenterà, come sempre, un banco di prova importante, per molti atleti a pochi giorni dai Campionati del Mondo in Australia. Al via della competizione si attendono le migliori squadre italiane e straniere del panorama Under 23, Elite e Continental.
In cabina di regia siede l’ex professionista Christian Murro che coordina la macchina organizzativa dell’evento insieme al presidente della Libertas Ceresetto Andrea Cecchini e al responsabile percorsi e sicurezza Danilo Moretuzzo.
Le novità più importanti riguardano proprio le tappe e i percorsi come ci spiega Christian Murro: “Rispetto alla scorsa edizione torniamo a proporre quattro tappe e nella fattispecie torna la cronosquadre alla prima frazione che era mancata un anno fa e che sarà ospitata dalla località di Lavariano. Poi ci sarà un arrivo su una delle salite più importanti e famose d’Italia e del Mondo come è lo Zoncolan. E chiuderemo la corsa con una tappa che partirà dalla città di Trieste e si concluderà a Udine. Penso che abbiamo disegnato un tracciato interessante che tocca località molto suggestive della nostra Regione”.
Nei prossimi giorni saranno svelati i dettagli dei percorsi di gara e della manifestazione.

From Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th, next September 2022, the appointment with the 58th Giro of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region returns. It’s an important international cycling event, which will attract the best talents of world cycling in the Elite and Under 23 category (photo Bolgan).
The Libertas Ceresetto Association has been working to offer another exciting edition of the race that a year ago in Pordenone crowned the talent of the German Jonas Rapp. The Giro della Regione FVG will represent, as always, an important test event, for many athletes looking at the World Championships in Australia. The best Italian and foreign teams of the Under 23, Elite and Continental panorama are expected to compete in the Giro Fvg 2022.
The former professional cyclist Christian Murro coordinates the organization of the event together with the president of Libertas Ceresetto Andrea Cecchini and the routes and safety manager Danilo Moretuzzo.
The most important news concern the stages and the routes, as Christian Murro explains: “Compared to the last edition we are back to proposing four stages and in this case the team time trial returns to the first fraction, that was missing a year ago and which will be hosted by the town of Lavariano. Then there will be an arrival on one of the most important and famous climbs in Italy and in the world, such as the Zoncolan. And we will close the race with a stage that will start from the city of Trieste and will end in Udine. I think we have designed an interesting route that touches very suggestive places in our Region”.
In the next few days the details of the race routes and the event will be revealed.
